Illustrated Logo
Design Challenge
Draw three random pet names, consumable products, and popular cities out of a hat. Choose one from each category and design an illustrated logo that combines them all.
Creative Solution
The combination I drew was Greg the pig, a bar of soap, and Charleston, South Carolina. I started by sketching variations of the logo with colored pencil, then brought my final design into Procreate where I traced it and added a custom font. I wanted the illustration style to match Charleston’s preppy, southern charm, channeling an artisanal, handcrafted look. The accompanying pattern, inspired by South Carolina’s iconic palmetto trees, was painted using watercolor to evoke a more organic interpretation.
